Celebrate with the Centre and bid for an artwork at the Online Benefit Auction!
6th Sep, 2018
NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore is excited to launch the second online benefit auction as part of the 5th Anniversary Celebration from 13 September to 11 October 2018. All proceeds will go towards supporting the Centre’s future programming and will feature donated artworks from local and international artists who have collaborated with the Centre’s residencies or exhibition programmes since it opened in October 2013.
Over 30 artists will be participating in our upcoming online auction, including Atif Akin (Turkey/United States), Tiffany Chung (Vietnam), Sam Durant (United States), Uudam Tran Nguyen (Vietnam), Jamie North (Australia), Zai Tang (United Kingdom/Singapore), Mona Vatamanu (Romania) & Florin Tudor (Switzerland), and Entang Wiharso (Indonesia).
Our online benefit auction aims to raise funds for future programming and activities, in particular the Residencies Programme. This programme supports artists, curators, and writers from all over the world by offering them time and space to pursue their research without the pressure of deadlines and production. It also serves as a platform for these eminent and emerging artists, and curators to develop relationships with their regional and international peers, to share and conceive new bold ideas.
The auction offers a delightful representation of our alumni and we are grateful that through their generous support we are able to offer you the opportunity to acquire these works. At the same time, you will also be contributing to our Centre’s mission of facilitating knowledge and research in contemporary art as well as to enrich lives through the experience of art.
Bidding online begins from Thursday, 13 September 2018 at 3.00pm (GMT+8) and ends on Thursday, 11 October 2018, 10.00pm (GMT+8) on the auction platform https://ntu.oph.hk operated by OpenHeart Hong Kong.
